The ultimate aim of education is not the journey out ward but inward. Helping the child to understand his innate potential and to create an environment to bloom that specific potentials and skills should be the prime objective of education.

When a child is born, his parents have high expectations from the child that he will be able to hold his own in family, school and society. But not every child meets these expectations. This causes worry and frustration among parents, school administration, and disappoints the child as well as his teachers.

The ultimate aim of education is not the journey out ward but inward. Helping the child to understand his innate potential and to create an environment to bloom that specific potentials and skills should be the prime objective of education.

Getting proper motivation is basic for all positive changes. Maneuvering a child’s efforts in the direction of excellence is indispensable; an area that needs to be explored. A teacher facilitator can give direction and provide new insight to a child to flourish in area of his aptitude and interest. However, for this tree of motivation to grow in students, parents need to sow the seeds with an inspiring home environment. A parent’s effort towards developing a child’s self-disciplined life style from an early age will lay the foundation for persistence, commitment and consistency in academic pursuits. Grooming of young minds to accept challenges, deal with disappointments and aim higher with each achievement, is an outcome of collaborate efforts of parents and teachers.

Once we successfully light the flame of motivation, we will see a never ending internal desire for excellence and innovation in the younger generation bloom. The key to all motivation lies in our ability to reach out to a child’s heart.

Here, keeping 24 students in all grades Mount Guide is putting a noble effort to understand each child and to help and guide him to understand himself. I would like to request all parents and other stake holders to put hands together to achieve the objective of MGI to mould a generation with self-understanding, self-respect and social commitment.

“ Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.” - Kahlil Gibran
